7 Days Lemosho Route

Lemosho route is the best and most beautiful route on Mount Kilimanjaro it started on the Western side of Kilimanjaro at a Londrosi gate, it was introduced as an alternative to Shira route which is begin at a higher altitudes and more challenging.

On the Western side of Kilimanjaro some animals can be seen and you may be lucky to spot large Antelopes, Buffalo and sometimes Elephants, Lemosho route joins Machame route at the Lava Tower and heading down to Baranko Valley via Southern Circuit As with the Machame route Lemosho trekkers needs to pass through the Baranko wall then Summit from Barafu base camp.

Lemosho route have high chance of summit success as it has many days and approaching the elevations slowly and allow you to climbs higher elevations and seep in a lower eleven tins and gives a chance to acclimatize well.

Lemosho route be done for the maximum number f days 8 days and 7 nights and to the minimum can be done for 6 days 5 nights on mountain
For 8 days option has a good chance of summit success rate and the extra day makes a difference to how you feel and there are three nights sleeping at the same altitude and the 7 days option is about an 85% summit success rate and we don't offer anything less because it is just too dangerous to consider climbing Kilimanjaro in 6 days especial for those have not experienced t climb on a high attitudes.

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania and transfer to the hotel
Arrive in Tanzania via Kilimanjaro International airport (JRO) our office staff will pick you up and transfer to Moshi town where you will spend the first night at Panama garden resort
Those who will arrive through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKA) in Kenya, we will pick them and transfer by Shuttle bus to Moshi.

Day 2: Drive to Londorossi Park Gate (2,385m or 7825 ft) and climbing to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,700 meters or 8858 ft)
Hiking hours 3-4 hours.
Distance 8 Km or 5 miles.
Accommodation: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Climbing from Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira Camp 1(3,500 m or 11483 feet)
Hiking hours 5-6 hours.
Distance 6 Km or 6 miles
Then, Shira Camp 2 (3,840 meters or 12,598 feet)
Hiking hours 3-4 hours.
Distance 8 Km or 5 miles
Accommodation: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Climbing from Shira Camp 2 to Barranco Camp (3,950 meters or 12959 feet)
Distance 8 Km or 5 miles
Hiking hours 6-7 hours
Accommodation: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

5: Climbing from Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley Camp (3,995 meters 13,106 feet)
Hiking hours 4-5 hours.
Distance 5 Km or 3 miles
Accommodation: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 6:Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp (4,550 meters or 14928 feet)
Hiking hours 4-5 hours.
Distance 4 Km or 2 miles
Accommodation: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7: Climbing to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters or 19,341feet)
Hiking hours 7-8 hours and distance 5 Km or 3 miles, then descend through Barafu for short rest and continue to to Mweka Camp (3,060 meters or 10,065 feet) 4-5 hours with distance 12 Km or 7 miles.
Accommodation: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 8: Descend to Mweka Gate (4,600)
Hiking hours 4-5 hours.
Distance 4 Km or 2 miles to Mweka gate.
Transfer to at Panama garden resort for certificate and summit party ceremony and overnight
Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast at Park View Inn
Total distance covered is 70 Km or 42 miles.

Day 9: Transfer to airport.
Today will pick you at the hotel and transfer to Kilimanjaro airport to catch your final flight.
